Doe Eye Makeup

Round and wide open: shimmer at the centre of the lid, a liner that stops at the outer corner, a nude waterline and lashes fullest in the middle.

When to wear it

Wear it to class, brunch or a daytime date, when you want eyes that look round and open rather than lifted. It is for you if you like soft pink, a glossy lip and no wing at all. The pictures show it on light skin with monolid eyes, on medium skin with hazel eyes and on deep skin.

Shades

  2. Creasesoft brown
  3. Waterlinenude pencil
  4. Lipsglossy soft pink

How it's done

A fresh, luminous base and a soft pink blush on the apples of the cheeks. Brows brushed up and softly filled. A light peach-pink shadow across the lid, a soft brown blended into the crease and kept fullest above the centre of the eye, and a pale pink shimmer on the centre of the lid and in the inner corners. A thin brown liner tight to the upper lashes, thickest above the centre and stopping at the outer corner with no wing. A nude pencil in the lower waterline. Black mascara on the upper and lower lashes, the lower lashes separated and the upper lashes fullest at the centre. Lips in a glossy soft pink.

Questions

How do you make eyes look rounder with makeup?
Keep the darkest liner and the fullest lashes above the centre of the eye, and stop the line at the outer corner with no wing. A pale pink shimmer on the centre of the lid and a nude pencil in the lower waterline add light in the middle.
Does doe eye makeup work on monolids?
One picture shows the look on monolid eyes. Draw the brown liner a little thicker over the centre so it still shows with your eyes open, and curl your lashes before the mascara so the middle ones lift.
