Siren Eyes
Long and sultry: a straight brown-black wing pulled out toward the temple, a pointed inner corner, a smudged lower lash line and a satin nude lip.
When to wear it
Wear it to dinner, a date or a night out, when you want a long, sultry eye next to a quiet nude lip. It is for you if you like brown liner more than black. The pictures show it on fair skin with red hair and hooded green eyes, on olive skin with almond eyes and on downturned brown eyes.
Shades
- Linerlong black-brown wing
- Eyessmudged espresso
- Cheekmuted rose-brown
- Lipssatin nude-mauve
How it's done
A satin, even base with soft contour under the cheekbones and a muted rose-brown blush blended up toward the temples. Brows brushed up and filled. A soft matte brown blended along the outer third of the upper lid and swept out toward the tail of the brow, with a deeper espresso brown pressed close to the outer half of the lash line. A black-brown liquid liner drawn from the centre of the upper lash line into a long, straight wing angled out, not up. The inner corner drawn down to a fine point just past the tear duct, and the espresso brown smudged along the outer half of the lower lash line to meet the wing. Black mascara with extra lashes at the outer corners. Lips lined in a brown-nude liner and filled with a satin nude-mauve.
Questions
- What are siren eyes?
- An eyeliner look that stretches the eye outward. The wing runs straight toward the temple instead of up, the inner corner comes down to a fine point, and espresso brown smudged under the outer lashes meets the wing.
- How are siren eyes different from fox eye makeup?
- Siren eyes angle the wing out, not up, and smudge brown under the outer half of the lower lashes. Fox eye makeup angles the wing sharply upward, keeps shadow off the inner half of the lid and puts lashes only at the outer corners.
