Fox Eye Makeup

Lifted and sharp: shadow and liner pulled up toward the temple, a pointed inner corner, straight brow tails and lashes only at the outer corners.

When to wear it

Wear it to a party or a night out when you want a sharp, lifted eye and a soft matte lip. It is for you if you like straight brow tails and a long upward wing. The pictures show it on monolid eyes, on olive skin with almond-shaped hazel eyes and on deep skin with brown eyes.

Shades

  1. Eyeswarm brown, pulled up
  2. Linerlifted black wing
  3. Cheeklight peach, high
  4. Lipssoft matte nude

How it's done

A matte, even base with soft contour on the temples and under the cheekbones, and a light peach blush placed high and swept toward the temples. Brows brushed up, the tails drawn straight out with a soft brown pencil. A warm brown shadow blended along the outer third of the lid and pulled up and out at an angle toward the temple, kept off the inner half of the lid. A black liquid liner along the outer half of the upper lash line, extended into a long wing angled sharply upward. The inner corner drawn down and out to a sharp point with the same liner. Lashes added only at the outer corners. Lips lined slightly over the centre in a nude-brown liner and filled with a soft matte nude.

Questions

How do I draw the fox eye wing?
Start the black liquid liner halfway along the upper lash line and pull it out into a long wing angled sharply up. Draw the inner corner down and out to a point with the same liner, then blend warm brown shadow up along the wing.
Why are the brow tails drawn straight?
A straight tail continues the upward line of the wing instead of curving down toward it. Brush the brows up first, then draw each tail straight out with a soft brown pencil.
